A WeddingStory commission is rarely shorter than a year and rarely ends. Below is the complete arc, written so that nothing is hidden and nothing is rushed.
Before we have met
You find us — through a friend's wedding, an editorial, a quiet recommendation from a planner. You read, watch, and decide whether our sensibility belongs at your wedding.

When you are ready
A short, thoughtful conversation in writing. Eight questions, no forms, no pressure. We read every inquiry personally, never with templates.
— You will hear back within forty-eight hours, from a principal.
Within two weeks
A private call — thirty minutes, no portfolios, no packages. Only the wedding you imagine, and whether the chemistry is right. We have politely declined commissions after this call, and so have couples. Both are healthy.

Upon agreement
A signed agreement and a twenty-five-percent retainer reserve your date. We accept one wedding per weekend. From this moment the day is held for you.

Six to two months out
We become quietly involved — venue walks, planner coordination, family-portrait architecture, lighting design notes, audio strategy. You receive our planning library and our personal counsel as you need it.

Sixty days before
A second, longer call. We design the coverage of your day around the moments that matter to you — the ones you would mourn if they were missed.

The day itself
Two principal cinematographers, a second camera, an assistant. Present, never prominent. We arrive early, introduce ourselves to your family, and disappear into the rhythm of the day.

Twelve to sixteen weeks after
The hands that held the camera cut the film. A first cut is shared privately. One round of revisions is included; in nine years, fewer than a dozen couples have used it.

Final delivery
Your feature film, highlight, full ceremony, and vertical edit arrive in a hand-bound walnut keepsake with archival USB, signed prints, and lifetime digital storage.

Optional, within the year
For couples who commission stills alongside the film, an editorial album — letterpress cover, archival paper, hand-bound in Florence. Your story, paginated.

For decades
Your negatives, masters, and original files are archived in Toronto. Anniversary edits, restoration, and reprints remain available — to you, your children, and theirs.
