Kingston photographs like a European harbour town. Limestone facades hold light in a way brick and glass cannot, and the Lake Ontario waterfront reads on camera as blue as the Mediterranean on a good August evening.

The city is compact — most weddings we imagine here work inside a walkable core between the Delta Waterfront, City Hall, and Fort Henry.

    Kingston is a three-hour drive from either Toronto or Montreal. Encourage a two-night guest stay; a same-day return home from a wedding here punishes the guest list.

  2. 02

    VIA Rail from Toronto is a legitimate option for an out-of-town guest block; the station is downtown and taxis run reliably.

How large a wedding does Kingston support?+
Comfortably up to 220 at the Delta Waterfront or Ambassador Conference Resort. Above that, split ceremony (Fort Henry, City Hall) from reception.
Is it a viable destination for Toronto and Montreal guests?+
Yes — it is roughly equidistant. Kingston has become the compromise city for bilingual guest lists that want a shared weekend.
